High performance perfluoropolyether (PFPE) based oils and PTFE thickened greases.
Pioneered by DuPont and developed for NASA Space Mission in the 1960’s, now the lubrication solution of choice in conditions of temperature extremes, high oxygen content and chemical environments.
Krytox is chemically inert, has no reaction with oxygen, and is extremely high and low temperature stable.
» PAPER INDUSTRY
With typical operating temperatures in excess of 180°C, in high humidity and chemical environments, Krytox provides effective bearing lubrication in corrugator and paper machines in these extreme conditions.
» AUTOMOTIVE
Krytox provides life-long lubrication for many original-fit vehicle components.
Excellent stiction properties, and effective anti-squeak and NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) lubricant.
Compatible with all plastic and elastomer materials. Effective seal lubricant, and eliminates leather creak and plastic contact squeak.
Industry standard grade available as oil or grease, in convenient applicator bottle, spray can or tube.
» AEROSPACE
The DuPont Krytox range includes MIL Spec approved oils and greases. This accreditation, combined with the fact that Krytox is pure oxygen-compatible – (does not burn even in 100% liquid or gaseous oxygen) - means these materials provide ideal lubrication solutions for aviation and aerospace applications.
» VACUUM
Extremely low volatility and vapour pressure grades with low outgassing properties for lubrication requirements in high vacuum systems.
Available in both oil form, for vacuum pump lubrication, and grease for general lubrication in high vacuum.
» SEMICONDUCTOR
Much of semiconductor manufacture is carried out in high-vacuum conditions, often using aggressive chemicals and high oxygen environments.
The combined properties of chemical and oxygen tolerance, and inherent low vapour pressures make DuPont Krytox PFPE oils and greases ideal for use in the semiconductor industry.
» INDUSTRIAL
The most challenging Industrial lubrication requirements can be met by the combination of unique properties of DuPont Krytox PFPE.
Its inherent stability to temperature extremes makes Krytox suitable for use from temperatures as low as -70°C; with the XHT (Extra High Temperature range) tolerating spikes of up to +400°C.
Krytox does not burn even in 100% liquid or gaseous oxygen, making it ideal for use in oxygen transport/service equipment.
Virtually chemically inert, Krytox can be safely used in aggressive environments, and has no effect on the majority of elastomer seal materials.
Extremely low rates of base oil evaporation extend lubrication intervals, making Krytox ideal for use in difficult-to-access areas of plant and equipment, and suitable for sealed-for-life applications.
A range of H1 accredited DuPont Krytox oils and greases provide lubrication solutions where Food Grade lubricants are demanded.
