Dalton Electric Heating Co., Inc. has been manufacturing industrial cartridge and vacuum diffusion pump heaters for almost a century.

Their patented Watt-Flex® Cartridge Heaters and Diff-Therm® Platen Heaters are used today across a range of manufacturing industries including aerospace, automotive, composites, and plastics, throughout the world.

The Watt-Flex® Cartridge Heaters last longer than conventional cartridge heaters providing more even heating. The range of benefits in these cartridge heaters can lower your total process heating costs as well as providing less process down time.

Diff-Therm® Platen Heaters are direct replacement heaters for every major brand of vacuum diffusion pump. Dalton Diff-Therm heaters are built with high purity magnesium oxide, nickel chromium resistance wire and stainless steel internal components. Special filling methods and equipment compact the magnesium oxide tightly inside and around the resister helix which is then swaged under 50 tonnes of pressure to its maximum possible density. The result is a very high dielectric strength and efficient internal heat generation. Diff-Therm castings are machined to a smooth, flat finish to ensure efficient and uniform heat conduction to the boiler plate assembly for steady vaporisation of the pump fluid.
